Careers are jobs at which you love to do, for example my dad’s career is working at the Plant Farm Nursery, and this is his career because he loves to do that job. Careers/jobs responsibilities are to sell the product or services to make money. The whole point of jobs are to make money. The duties for a employee is to work for the employer and sell the product or services to people. The employee will get paid by the hour most of the time, There are two types of jobs, a full time job which is when you work every day and there is a half time job is when you don’t work every day. For example my dads’ job is full time job and teenagers when they get a job and they are under 18 they work half time so they can still work but still go to school.
There are many jobs at which have requirements to get the job. When an employer is looking for employees they will set requirements for people to fulfill to get that job. If the employee does not fit those requirements they will not get the job. For example to get a job as a doctor you need to go to college and get a degree in medical studies. If you do not go to college and get a medical degree you cannot work as a doctor. To prepare for what job you want to do is go to college for that job and get a degree.
Some core subjects that you need to do now to prepare yourself for the job you are going to do are math, readings, science, and social studies. But two of them that I need for my career is math and science to get a good job as an architect. You need math to be an architect because you would need to calculate the area and perimeter of the building you are about to build before you actually build it. You need science because to build a building you need to use levers, and pulleys, and other machines to help you. All of those things fall under the core subject of science.
I have found many things about myself while we were working on careers inventories. I have found that to get a job you need to do many things to fulfill the requirements for that job. I have also learned that there are many jobs out there in the world but I really need to prepare myself now while I am sti8ll young to get that job. To get jobs are tough but if I prepare myself all the way throughout my school career I can get a good one.
